Sylvian Care Swindon Achieves ‘Good’ in All Areas in First CQC Inspection

Sylvian Care is proud to celebrate a major milestone for its Swindon branch, which has achieved a ‘Good’ rating across all five areas in its very first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

The report, published in February 2026 following an assessment in January, highlights the team’s commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care across every aspect of the service.

A Strong Foundation of Leadership and Culture

Inspectors found that the service was “consistently managed and well-led,” with leaders creating a culture that “promoted high-quality, person-centred care.”

This is a particularly significant achievement for a first inspection, demonstrating not only operational strength but a clear and shared vision across the team.

Care That Truly Makes a Difference

The report reflects the real impact the service is having on people’s lives. Feedback gathered by CQC highlighted the compassion and professionalism of the team, with external professionals describing the service as:

“responsive, creative, caring and resilient.”

The inspection also noted that:

  • Risks were identified and managed effectively to keep people safe

  • Medicines were handled safely

  • The service worked well with other healthcare agencies

  • Staff were supported by knowledgeable and compassionate leaders

Together, these findings paint a picture of a service that is not only meeting standards, but doing so with consistency and care.

A Proud Moment for Leadership

Registered Manager Claire Puttick, who stepped into her first leadership role at the branch, shared her pride in the achievement:

“I’m incredibly proud to share that Sylvian Care Swindon has had its first CQC inspection — and we couldn’t be prouder to receive a GOOD rating in all five areas! This achievement means so much, not only for the service but for me personally as I stepped into my first post as Registered Manager.”

She also recognised the collective effort behind the result, adding:

“To our incredible care professionals, you are truly amazing. Your compassion, commitment, and dedication to the people we support is the heart of everything we do.”

Recognition Across the Network

Sylvian Care CEO Cristina Grancea praised the Swindon team for their achievement:

“I am incredibly proud of Claire and the entire Swindon team. Achieving a ‘Good’ rating in all areas on a first inspection is no small feat—it reflects the culture, dedication and standards we expect across Sylvian Care. This is another fantastic example of what happens when great people are empowered to lead and deliver exceptional care.”

Looking Ahead

This result marks an important step in the continued growth of Sylvian Care Swindon. With strong leadership, a committed team, and clear validation from the regulator, the branch is well positioned to build on this success.

As Claire herself put it:

“This is only the beginning.”
