Dorothy, one of our clients receiving end-of-life care, shared her experience of living with long-term health conditions and how support from our carers has made a meaningful difference to both her life and the lives of her family members.

When caring responsibilities begin to grow beyond what a family can safely manage alone, asking for help is never easy. For Sharon and her family, that moment came when her parents, both in their 90s, could no longer cope with the physical demands of caring for Sharon’s disabled brother, Tim.

At 71, Jane is the kind of person who lights up a room with humour, honesty, and a refreshing sense of resilience. Living with MS has brought challenges, especially around mobility, but it certainly hasn’t dampened her spirit or her determination to stay independent.

“Everything we do is done with compassion,” says Liz. “Treat people as you would love to be treated.”
